Filipa Reis And João Miller Guerra Live and work together in Lisbon, Portugal. They’ve been directing documentaries since 2010 and their films are regularly shown and awarded in national and international film festivals. Their first feature film, Djon África, premiered at Rotterdam IFF 2018, in the Hivos Tiger Competition. In 2008 they founded the production company Vende-se Filmes, dedicated to television content. At the same time, they develop and produce documentary and fiction films under Uma Pedra no Sapato (a stone in the shoe). The films were presented at international film festivals such as Berlinale, Rotterdam, IDFA, New Directors New Films, DokLeipzig, FidMarseille, Cinéma du Réel, Vision du Réel, Hong Kong IFF, among others. “Batrachian’s Ballad”, directed by Leonor Teles, won the Golden Bear at Berlinale Shorts 2016.
